Boer War Victory Parade, London, 1902

Below is a Postcard dating from 1902 which showcases the Boer War Victory Parade in London in 1902

My 2x Great Grandfather, Frank Bean was a Boer War veteran who’s military career began in 1888 with the Rifle Brigade (Prince Consort’s Own), he was later recalled to the Army in order to serve in the Boer War and was enlisted with the 135 Company Yeomanry.

He survived the Boer War and gave his daughter the middle name of ‘Ladysmith’.

It’s very likely he played a part in this victory parade so if anybody has any further information regarding the photograph / postcard please leave your comments.

Feel free to use the image.
